The Feather Sound Community Services District (FSCSD) acquired utilization rights to parcel P001 shown below in April 2005. The Board would like to express their appreciation to Carlos Yepes would donated this land to Pinellas County for use by the FSCSD. The property will be used to expand the Earl Maize Recreation Area which borders the west side of the newly acquired parcel.  Planning for expansion and further development of the recreation area will begin soon. Pinellas County parks and recreation personnel will be invited to consult with the Board. A children's playground, picnic shelter, resurfacing of the basketball court, extension of the boardwalk and access to the lake will be among the improvements to be discussed. Larger image of photo below.
